901 SS Transmission Mounts Fab Kit

This product is designed to update worn and degraded transmission mounts on the 901 transmission beam. The O.E. design of this part includes non-serviceable rubber mounts. These parts are all in excess of 30 years old and many are in dangerously fragile condition – allowing engine and transmission movement in the chassis that leads to poor gear selection and abnormal stresses on oil fittings and other systems bridging between the powertrain the bodyshell.

The solution can be delivered in either of two ways. A fabrication kit that is shipped with a drawing containing necessary installation dimensions and notes for welding, or on a return or exchange process where your 901 transmission beam is shipped to Windrush for modification, bead blasting and semi-gloss powder coating. This system uses the same basic components as the WEVO SS Engine mounts, that are designed for use on 911 chassis of the same vintage.

Technical Note: The M12 bolt through the Engine or Transmission mount should be tightened to 40 ft/lbs or 55 Nm. The M12 Schnorr (serrated) washer should be installed directly under the head of the M12 bolt. The M8 hardware should be tightened to 18 ft/lbs or 25 Nm using the original arrangement of washer and nut.
