We have just completed the racing oil filter units as in the attached images, as used on all factory race cars from 908 through to 935’s.

To date this has been the most complex item we have (re) produced, I often here comments about the skilled design/engineering that Porsche put in to their products and anyone who’s had involvement in this item would certainly agree.

We have used everything from 3d scanning/solid modelling, rapid prototyping, modern machining and even some old school production to manufacture these. 

The main housing and cap are cast magnesium, machined, chromate coated and then had the cross bores plugged. All the original detail from the cork gaskets down to the spring rates of the pressure relief valves have been reproduced. The only items that we haven’t had to reproduce are the washers, nuts and a ball bearing. The oil feed pipe in itself is multi-piece component jigged and tig welded prior to pressure testing and plating.

Each assembly has been pressure tested and at the same time had the pressure relief valve set @ nominal 100psi.
