WEVO Tall Boy Shifter goes into production!

Hayden Burvill, owner of WEVO and the inventor of the WEVO Tall Boy. This combination of light weight alloys and epoxy based external skeleton is just a great shape. It shifts as well as all the other WEVO shifter products, but it brings the shift knob in closer range of your shift-hand.

Last week we received authorization to publicly show WEVO’s latest exciting product: the Tall Boy shifter for Porsche 915 transmissions.

Having driven the Tall Boy in my rally car, I am now seriously hooked on this wonderful piece of kit. Driving with a standard, unsprung shifter today was such a weird sensation and not one I enjoy any more… This specific example bears the signatures of Gijs Van Lennep, our patron, and Hans Hermann 1970 overall Le Mans winner in a 917K.

The Tall Boy appeals to all sorts of classic 911 drivers and allows for endless modifications of its appearance. The epoxy outer skeleton can be painted or covered in leather and there are several very attractive shift knobs available, as they are for the “normal” WEVO shifters. We particularly like the SL Knob. Its drilled through appearance matches perfectly with the aura a lightweight classic 911 should have! http://twinsparkracing.com/slshfknb.html

As the WEVO exclusive distributor for Europe we are close to the fire and we understand that the Tall Boy will go to market here for the equivalent of USD 1.585,= and be available from June.
