Our friends at EB Motorsport had a good weekend at this year’s Brand Hatch Historic Festival, part of the 2013 FIA Masters Historic series. Masters Series events enjoyed full grids all weekend, with plenty of cars on track doing battle: just what the spectators wanted!
EB’s terrific Guards Red Porsche 911 3.0 RS suffered a few irritating glitches, which ruled it out of two events, but the Light Yellow 911 RSR went well all weekend. The 3.0-litre Porsche 911 RSR couldn’t quite match the pace of the bigger-engined cars on the straights of the Brands Hatch GP circuit. A pair of Corvettes outqualified the EB Motorsport Porsche 3.0 RSR by just over a second for Monday’s racing.

Wolfgang was born on the 10 May 1943, at the family estate in Zell am See. The family returned to Stuttgart in 1950, where Wolfgang attended the Waldorf School. Graduating from Heppenheim’s Odenwald School in 1965, Wolfgang initially served an apprenticeship before studying Business Administration at the University of Economics in Vienna, where he received a Doctorate of Commercial Science in 1973.
This was the year after Ferry’s decision to remove the third generation of Porsches from day-to-day company management. Wolfgang became the importer of Yamaha motorcycles into Austria, a business he ran for 27 years. In 1976, he joined [...]
