WEVO has released its latest transmission side covers. Designed for the magnesium housing version of the 901 series transmissions – officially known as the 911 transmission, the WEVO version has a cable bracket that is peculiar to the OE version of the clutch cable and release mechanism, and is therefore a bolt-on solution.
The all-new WEVO 911 gearbox side covers are anodised grey, to protect the metal and avoid confusion with other version side covers. They are a similar tone/hue to the bare magnesium of the 911’s transmission.

- Comments Off on WEVO shifter in the bitchin’est Rally Car in Europe
Dropped into Tuthill Porsche earlier this week, where the team are getting Glenn Janssens’ Belgian Historic Championship-winning 911 together ahead of the season opener in Haspengouw on February 22-23.
Janssens will defend the title in his mega 911, as seen in the Chris Harris video below. The 3.5-litre twin-plug Porsche still runs the EB Motorsport slide throttle system as on sale in the Twinspark Racing shop but this year has added another Twinspark Racing product, in the form of a WEVO Billet Shifter with SL superlight shift knob.
We’ll be following Glenn’s progress through the year. Enjoy the video!

As it turned out, Tetsu Ikuzawa is in Japan what Steve McQueen is in the West: Mr UeberCool. Tetsu has raced anything on wheels in his 70 years on this planet, from motorcycles, GTs, formula 3000 and Sportscars of several kinds. As far as I could find out, Tetsu was the only Japanese Porsche factory racer ever and one of the few Japanese finishers at Le Mans, a.o. In a K3 935 which we saw race at the Oldtimer GP a few years ago.
I realized that Tetsu was not only the exact same age as our friend Gijs van Lennep, [...]
