TwinSpark Racing Poster: Winter Trial 2011

Achievement Poster in Porsche Factory style, edited by Vasco Ricardo, graphics designer from Portugal and a dear R Gruppe friend.

The above poster is the creative product of Pavel, our Czech photographer friend and the editing performed by our creative friend Vasco Ricardo from Portugal. Vasco is a graphics designer, heavily infected with the early 911 bug. The poster even has the pixel structure of large surface posters from the 70’s, the way the Factory issued them…

I met Vasco for the first time at R Gruppe Treffen three years ago, in San Luis Obispo. He had just completed a cross continental ride from New York, in the shotgun seat with his Irish friend Karl O’Donoghue. To say that Vasco was mesmerized by the sight and presence of so many gorgeous early 911s and their mad community of enthusiast-owners would be the understatement of the year!

We stayed in touch as Vasco joined R Gruppe and now was also part of our European Chapter. He has been flying the R Gruppe flag on the Iberian Peninsula and is planning to join us up north for our Carrera Paneuropeana, a three day club outing in the Eifel and Ardennes (R Dennes…, get it?).

Decorative Poster featuring TwinSpark Racing's 1973 RSR from a photo taken at Le Mans Classic 2010. By Vasco Ricardo.

I have seen quite a bit of Vasco’s skill over the last few years, ranging from these creative posters (he also made one for Woodstock, our ’73 3.0 RSR), to rally decals and our last year’s Le Mans Classic polo shirt. I can recommend Vasco as a creative force and a terrific pal to all you early 911 brothers looking for an event design or simply a custom poster like the one showing above.
