TwinSpark Racing in 911 & Porsche World magazine

I’ve got a nice little mention for TwinSpark Racing and The Hulk – our Dutch GT Championship-winning 3.0 RSR – in this month’s 911 & Porsche World magazine.

Each contributor gets a double page spread in rotation by issue to talk about what has caught their eye. This month is my turn. I ran with a few stories from WEVO dealer Specialist Vehicle Preparations, Tuthill Porsche, Porsche UK, Nicolas Hunziker and dearest TwinSpark.

The pic featured was taken by Leonard, on the day that Lex Proper cut the roof off The Hulk and welded in a sunroof-free panel. That week, the car was repainted up top and inside, ahead of our Spa track day. Everyone loved it in Belgium, so the work clearly paid off.

Having an RSR with a sunroof was a fun thing, but Leonard reckons taking that 40 or 50 kilos off the top of the car, including a switch to plastic windows instead of glass, has tranbsformed the feel of The Hulk around Spa. I can believe it: my little non sunroof Carrera 3.0 feels like it corners flat with no weight above the waistline (the car, I mean!). Here’s a pic of it on the day:

The magazine picture is fun (nice work, Leonard) and so is the piece. I am all over that magazine this month: let me know what you think if you get to see it.
