This is a big weekend for Twin Spark Racing, as we unleash our challenge on the 2010 State of Art Historic Zandvoort Trophy.

Many organisations in our field of performance parts supply include the words ‘Racing’ or ‘Motorsport’ in their business name. Yet their cars and the products they sell have never turned a wheel in anger at a competitive race event. This is where TwinSpark is different.
“When the flag drops, the bullshit stops”. So said diehard racer, Sir Jack Brabham. For real racing enthusiasts like our directors, Lex Proper and Leonard Stolk, it is more than a throwaway line in a press conference. It is a philosophy for business and, in some ways, for life.

Last week we received authorization to publicly show WEVO’s latest exciting product: the Tall Boy shifter for Porsche 915 transmissions.
Having driven the Tall Boy in my rally car, I am now seriously hooked on this wonderful piece of kit. Driving with a standard, unsprung shifter today was such a weird sensation and not one I enjoy any more… This specific example bears the signatures of Gijs Van Lennep, our patron, and Hans Hermann 1970 overall Le Mans winner in a 917K.

The RSR has been extensively rebuilt over the last 18 months and now includes many new items which we sell to our clients. The new 3.0 twin-plugged RSR engine had been run in for about 250 km, but had not been run on track. This beautiful piece of kit was humming away like a dream for a few laps, until it developed a misfire. Coming back into the pits it turned out that one of the top spark plug wires had popped off, so nothing serious. And back on I went.
As you may know we restore MFI pumps as part of our select offering, and to check how the engine is performing we mounted an air/fuel gauge and sensor in the car. The meter read out perfectly around the desired 1:14 proportion across the rev-range, meaning that the [...]
