After many years of scouting and testing, including an outright scam-job by a potential supplier, we have finally launched a wheel range which we are confident of will satisfy our client base.

Not only do TwinSpark offer factory standard offsets, but also custom offsets for those of you who are hot-rodding your later cars into early body styles, or building race cars with FIA compliant set ups, who find it hard to find affordable, correct looking solutions.

TwinSpark have had a few decisions to make on the road to this launch:

What maximum width do we provide?

We have decided to limit the width to 12J as we consider this the maximum for a 15″ wheel and 11J for the 16″ wheels. The benchmark we used to determine these measurements was a set of widened Fuchs wheels, with a similar construction to our new wheels, which measured 14J and under use of slicks at Assen Race [...]

After 2 years of anticipation and months of prep work to plot routes, organise hotels, polo’s, stickers and the like, our departure is near. BergMeisteR Tour III will see 8 early 911’s cover 4.500 km in 8 days. Our route will take us through Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France , Switzerland, Italy and Monaco.

To give you an idea: last time, in 2012, I went through a set of Michelin TB’s in a week.

Last weekend saw the start of the historic racing season for team TwinSpark with a few thrilling races at Zandvoort. Our Dutch Historic Racing Championship 66-81 saw a field of 34 cars head into qualification and 25 cars finishing the weekend’s last race. Quite an improvement in numbers compared to last year.

We believe that more and more drivers are gravitating towards classes which insist on FIA homologation compliant cars and the fair competition to match. Our races could not have proven the point of fairness better, looking at the bumper to bumper battle yours truly undertook with a very similar car of Jan van Elderen and fights going on in the group of Escorts behind us. Everybody wins: participants, who feel they have really raced for their cups and spectators for seeing us slug it out as gentlemen. In our first race Jan headed for the lead from the rolling start, as the [...]
