Yesterday was our first toe-in-the-water taster of a track day organised with Twin Spark involvement for early and aircooled 911s.
21 classic Porsche cars from the UK joined 6 of us from the Netherlands to attend an open pit lane day at Spa Francorchamps, overseen by RSR Nurburg. After a dry but overcast start, the sun broke through the clouds, giving us beautifully warm weather in which to enjoy one of the greatest tracks in Europe. In short – it was FANTASTIC.
We attended the day in Woodstock: our 911 RSR 3.0, liveried especially for the event. The yellow 911 was wearing its usual Michelin TB5 rubber and running with enriched fuel pump settings, while we wait for our next-stage experimental MFI pump cam to be installed.

Just wanted to share with you the new look of Woodstock. We have taken our logos and had a front hood sticker made to promote TwinSpark Racing. In the Dutch GTTC championship we are allowed to run with “fitting” sponsor decoration, so we designed a period-style striping. Hope you like it. We’ll be running Woodstock on Monday at Spa in this new outfit.

It was evenly matched today with the 2,5 liter Martini ST of Onno Vlaanderen, who had the advantage of running slicks vs our TB’s and 20 years of racing experience to take 2nd place, behind a silver Zakspeed Escort built and raced by Marcel Frijlink.
Woodstock was equipped today with a black and black WEVO 915 shifter – SL shift knob combination and it made a massive difference in the way [...]
