Many of us started as the ‘mustn’t touch’ type of Porsche owner, who doesn’t change anything on the car without approval by the manufacturer. ‘Mustn’t touch’ types instead spend their spare cash on espresso cup sets featuring the 908 and 917 in various poses, or ceramic brake cuff links. Don’t look at me like that: we’ve all bought that stuff.

After a time, ‘mustn’t touchers’ begin to realise that coffee cups and cuff links have nothing to do with getting maximum return from a 911. They question the driving experience their car is providing. They want more involvement, more dynamism. They start looking at aftermarket products to sharpen up their sports car.

From here, there are many options. At first glance, the main differentiators seem to be cost and quality, but there’s more to it than that.

TwinSpark Racing had a very good first day out during this weekend’s Dutch Post Historic Championship at Zandvoort capturing a trophy for 3rd overall in a field of 24 cars. Woodstock was equipped today with a black and black WEVO 915 shifter – SL shift knob combination and it made a massive difference in the way [...]

This is a big weekend for Twin Spark Racing, as we unleash our challenge on the 2010 State of Art Historic Zandvoort Trophy.

Many organisations in our field of performance parts supply include the words ‘Racing’ or ‘Motorsport’ in their business name. Yet their cars and the products they sell have never turned a wheel in anger at a competitive race event. This is where TwinSpark is different.

“When the flag drops, the bullshit stops”. So said diehard racer, Sir Jack Brabham. For real racing enthusiasts like our directors, Lex Proper and Leonard Stolk, it is more than a throwaway line in a press conference. It is a philosophy for business and, in some ways, for life.

Those who love to race know: competition hones our desire to succeed. Competition is what pushes us to test ourselves against similar minds and abilities, to [...]
