Just wanted to share with you the new look of Woodstock. We have taken our logos and had a front hood sticker made to promote TwinSpark Racing. In the Dutch GTTC championship we are allowed to run with “fitting” sponsor decoration, so we designed a period-style striping. Hope you like it. We’ll be running Woodstock on Monday at Spa in this new outfit.

As promised I would get back with some more stories around the Historic Zandvoort Trophy of a few weeks ago. The Saturday was a nice surprise, but the Sunday went very well also. There were two races on Sunday with the same field participating. In Saturday’s race I was still getting used to the car and lost second place to the 71 2,5 liter ST. I didn’t realize I came in 3rd on Saturday until the marshalls waved me through to the pitlane for the prize giving. It turned out that the ’74 RSR had been black flagged for loosing oil on the track…

Today we finally had a chance to test Woodstock, our signal yellow Porsche 911 3.0 RSR. The RSR has been extensively rebuilt over the last 18 months and now includes many new items which we sell to our clients. The new 3.0 twin-plugged RSR engine had been run in for about 250 km, but had not been run on track. This beautiful piece of kit was humming away like a dream for a few laps, until it developed a misfire. Coming back into the pits it turned out that one of the top spark plug wires had popped off, so nothing serious. And back on I went.
As you may know we restore MFI pumps as part of our select offering, and to check how the engine is performing we mounted an air/fuel gauge and sensor in the car. The meter read out perfectly around the desired 1:14 proportion across the rev-range, meaning that the [...]
