- Comments Off on EASY Porsche Meets in San Francisco
Jim Brezeale’s EASY Porsche spares operation in Emeryville, San Francisco is well known to local Porsche enthusiasts. Dealing exclusively in Porsche parts since 1978, a solid following has built up around EASY’s relaxed headquarters in San Francisco central; a base packed with used Porsche parts and a community who enjoy Jim’s take on Stuttgart’s finest and its place in life.
The regular R Gruppe meets at EASY on a Saturday morning are an institution. EASY is a place for hanging out, kicking tyres, swapping parts and stories and unveiling the latest hot creations from the members of the NorCal R Gruppe chapter.
While the meets have a primarily air-cooled focus, all are welcome to turn up and meet the Porsche faithful. If [...]

- Comments Off on Porsche 911 Carrera RS revisits the Col de Turini
Chaptermeister, business partner and all-round top man Leonard Stolk has just posted some in-car video, from a run up the Col de Turini earlier today.
Leonard is on a return leg of a drive to Cannes in Silverado, TwinSpark Racing’s 2.7 RS-engined rally car. He’s not had much luck finding snow on the roads – the pic above is in a field – but it still looks like he is having a good time. Here’s the video: brings back some happy 2010 memories!
I was supposed to do the trip to Cannes and back, but prior commitments meant I couldn’t hook up with him in Stuttgart on Tuesday night as we had originally planned. He soon found another victim (I mean passenger), and they are having big fun en route back to Amsterdam.
I had an email a few weeks ago from the press department at Porsche here in the UK. They were putting a short but special one-day trip to Germany together, for a small group of UK Porsche enthusiasts who work in the media, and were wondering whether I might be interested? Silly question! The trip is tomorrow and promises to be a memorable event.
The day starts with a meet at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 5, where we check in for our flight to Stuttgart. Upon arrival, we transfer direct to the Porsche Museum, for a behind-the-scenes tour of this wonderful facility. The visit includes a look at the archives, where some of the company’s most treasured historical information is housed. The Porsche museum’s opening hours show that the facility is closed on Mondays, so they are opening especially for us. Fabulous!
