- Comments Off on TwinSpark Racing: WEVO Porsche in Europe
This months’ 911 & Porsche World magazine is now on sale.
The issue features the carbon fibre-bodied WEVO 912 with the GT3 Cup engine. This car is extreme and the new gold standard in early Porsche hot rods. We call it PVX.
WEVO is a name to conjour with in Porsche circles. Hayden Burvill has set closed-course speed records with Norbert Singer and the Carrera GT, engineered the Brumos Porsche to race wins and helped to design multiple-race-winning Indy cars. Each project has been unique in its scope and purpose, yet each has featured a design overview that could only have come from Burvill.

- Comments Off on WEVO Shifter Group Buy
I’m just working out the details of a group buy on WEVO shifters with some French friends and forum members. The guys are getting a discount in exchange for saving us work on single orders.
It’s not surprising that groups of enthusiasts are lining up to buy the WEVO shifter. Most buyers – certainly everyone we have feedback from – believe it is the best money they have spent on their classic Porsche. I would agree with that entirely: my car is absolutely fantastic to drive as a result of the WEVO shifter installed.
I first got into WEVO via Pelican, where many of the big names sang the praises of this reclusive figure, Hayden Burvill and his engineering excellence. Eventually I met Hayden and we hit it off immediately.

Leonard has just put WEVO engine mounts into his 996 GT3 and is super impressed with the results.
“Mounts are finally in and what a difference it makes! The car feels like new, no wobbles in the back anymore and reduced vibrations, believe it or not!” says the TwinSpark frontman of his new equipment.
Factory engine mounts are a comfort-centric compromise that allow some engine and gearbox movement in spirited driving. This movement can lead to a lack of complete control, as the drivetrain shifts out of harmony with the chassis. It also places additional stress on the suspension, already working hard at controlling the car.
Minimising excess drivetrain motion is a Porsche Motorsport priority. The factory fits solid engine mounts to its race cars, to firmly connect the drivetrain and chassis, maximise suspension control and enhance accuracy [...]
