Having nearly dropped out of the last Winter Trial with the Silverado, running the 3.0 SC engine on Webers, I have developed a fuel pump phobia… I guess that if you go through three low quality items in two days, it becomes time to dedicate research to the problem. Due to our business relationship with Francis Tuthill Ltd, TwinSpark Racing got access to these special items, which Richard Tuthill uses in all their client cars. As Tuthill cars usually finish and if they drop out it’s usually due to human error, these pumps must be tough cookies. If you see what the Tuthill cars are put through on events like the Safari rally, then surely these pumps must be good enough for heavy navigation rallys.

“Woodstock” has been with us for 3 years now and has gone through a constant upgrade process. It is an original 1973 911S chassis which has been modified to RSR spec over the years.

The nickname “Woodstock” was given recently by TwinSpark’s business manager, Daan Stolk, and refers to the Charlie Brown character, particularly to his color…

We acquired the chassis in 2006 from a German car trader. It came with an ONS pass which showed it had competed actively in the German Youngtimer Trophy. Unfortunately its then owner abandoned the RSR at shop after he was faced with a repair bill which he couldn’t pay. Subsequently the engine, gearbox and all of the interior were sold off by the repair shop, to cover the bill.
