WEVO are famous for their gear shift levers and transmission upgrade parts for air cooled 911s, but the company also makes some interesting suspension parts. One such part is the WEVO E-Z Pin.
The WEVO E-Z Pin is designed to replace the 14mm bolt used on the inboard pivot of the 911 rear trailing arms. The 1972 911s do not have the dimpled torsion tube to allow the inboard bolt to be removed unless the transmission is removed from the chassis.
The E-Z Pin will fit the 1965-1989 Porsche 911, and can be installed with the transmission in the chassis, eliminating the cost and inconvenience of removing the transmission when performing rear suspension rebuilds or upgrades.
The original bolt is removed by partially extracting the bolt, then cutting the exposed section of the bolt. This is necessary as [...]

- Comments Off on TwinSpark Racing Porsche RSR brakes: Production Pics
We recently visited the US test facility responsible for batch testing of our exclusive Zuffenhaus 911 RSR brake calipers.
First impressions of the operation were excellent. This is a first class facility with state of the art testing capability. It was interesting to note that, not only do most of the 200+ mph NASCAR teams make use of this capability, some of the leading brake system manufacturers test here too.
For example, every road and race pad compound from one highly respected brake manufacturer is tested there before they are released for production (not sure how sensitive this information is so no names, no pack drill). The type of data captured in testing includes torque, clamping force, temperature recovery time, master cylinder piston travel and hydraulic pressure. This data is then graphically represented and the charts compared [...]

- Comments Off on Porsche: Rallying on the Targa Tasmania
Porsche have exceeded all expectations and taken some of their most famous race cars to Australia, to celebrate their 60th anniversary of selling cars down under.
Putting things into perspective, Melbourne is over 10,000 miles from Stuttgart: some 21 hours flying time. The Porsche Museum has shipped a number of exceptional machines to the southern hemisphere, including the RS60 and 908 Targa Florio winners, Moby Dick and one of the all conquering 962s. They have also sent a very special 911: the SC rally car used by Walter Röhrl and Christian Geistdörfer in the 1981 San Remo rally.
San Remo ’81 was a defining moment in the relationship between Röhrl and Porsche. With the 4wd Audis set to dominate, Walter and Christian kept them behind until a smashed SC driveshaft near the finish cost them the event.
