We were delighted to receive an order from new UK Porsche builder David Fitzgerald this week.

David has taken over the ashes of the former Sean Lockyear Porsche business in Yorkshire, and is working on some classic 911 race and rally builds for customers. The new cars will feature a range of parts from TwinSpark Racing, including WEVO Porsche transmission parts.

Well-known English engine builder Mike Bainbridge is also connected to the enterprise. Mike and David have been dividing work according to their strengths: Mike is building some transmissions for David, while David carries out some Bainbridge chassis work. It’s all good business, and great to see new life in the Porsche world despite the media doom and gloom.

Last time we did this, the biggest group of us stayed at the Beau-Site in Hockai, about 5 kms from the track, and it was fine. Big restaurant and decent beer, clean and tidy rooms and about €40 a head for the night per person sharing, including a simple breakfast. I’ll be doing that again.

So [...]
