Just back from an incredible trip to Germany, for the Nurburgring 24-Hour race. The event was memorable for many reasons, one big one being a victory for Porsche with a Manthey Racing GT3, and the other was the sheer speed of the 911R Hybrid.
Though the Hybrid started way down the field thanks to its air restrictor handicap, the car was soon climbing the order. The first few laps were all about the big Mercedes and Audis up front but as the laps counted up, the Hybrid just kept coming and coming. Eventually, the car took the lead, but confused reporting at the racetrack meant not that many people knew about it.
Soon there was a problem with diff flanges, and the car had to come in the pits, losing six laps [...]

I posted a while back on plans for a TwinSpark track day at Spa Francorchamps later this year. Those plans have now been finalised, and I’m happy to share them with you.
Our track day company for this event is the excellent Gold Track organisation from the UK. Melindi Scott and partner Calum Lockie hosted our very first Impact Bumpers track day at Donington Park in October 2006, and are the ultimate professionals. Gold Track is a leading light in ATDO, the Association of Track Day Organisers, so insurance for this track day should be no problem for those coming from Great Britain.
Gold Track are running on the 10th and 11th of October at a cost of £299 [...]

Just had some pics through from Leonard and Daan, and a few words about the Carrera PanEuropeana they are on at the minute.
This RGruppe Europe event is a drive from the Netherlands down through Belgium and into Germany. The guys were staying close to the Nürburgring for two nights and today have headed back up towards Spa, for the end of the racing there, before coming home. Leonard speaks:
Weather is awesome, 11 cars good crowd. Jan de Boer (the so-called Bumpermeister) tapped the Armco in a hairpin, so bruised ego there, but car is still drivable. We will actually turn the piece of bumper he crashed off the left front into the rotating trophy! Everybody more cautious and keeping distance to [...]
