Porsche have announced their sponsorship of the fourth RennSport Reunion: an unmissable extravaganza of classic Porsche race cars, in a concentration unseen anywhere else on earth.

That’s the upside! The downside for us Europeans is that it’s on in North America. RennSport Renunion IV will be held at Laguna Seca on October 13th-15th this year, followed by the Porsche Race Car Classic on the 16th, at The Quail in Monterey. The press release says 14th to 16th: I’m currently treating it as “arrive in Monterey in the 13th”.

I know it’ll be expensive to get there, but we’ve already been doing our research on the best value for money accommodation in the area and booking it fast. Who knows what prices, exchange rates and flight costs will do later in the year? Flights are already silly money and [...]

Vasco is a graphics designer, heavily infected with the early 911 bug. The poster even has the pixel structure of large surface posters from the 70’s, the way the Factory issued them…

I met Vasco for the first time at R Gruppe Treffen three years ago, in San Luis Obispo. He had just completed a cross continental ride from New York, in the shotgun seat with his Irish friend Karl O’Donoghue. To say that Vasco was mesmerized by the sight and presence of so many gorgeous early 911s and their mad community of enthusiast-owners would be the understatement of the year!

Dealing exclusively in Porsche parts since 1978, a solid following has built up around EASY’s relaxed headquarters in San Francisco central; a base packed with used Porsche parts and a community who enjoy Jim’s take on Stuttgart’s finest and its place in life.

The regular R Gruppe meets at EASY on a Saturday morning are an institution. EASY is a place for hanging out, kicking tyres, swapping parts and stories and unveiling the latest hot creations from the members of the NorCal R Gruppe chapter.
